Riding for the Disabled

Riding for the Disabled Association’s patron has started in 2008, Her Highness Sheikha Hessa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum launched the program by donating 3 of her horses to be used for therapeutic riding.

Basically, RDAD helps disabled children to ride horses in a much slower way which is compatible with their disabilty.
They start from a really basic point and add to this point by making it more challenging for the children by teaching them 'how to hold the lead', 'How to conduct the horse', 'how to brush the horse' and much more.

I have experienced this moment, Its one of the BEST feelings .. Why? Because you make a change for their life & make them successful by YOUR Help.

This year for some reason, Latifa School for girls has cancelled this voluntary work (Problems that have occurred at school) so we won't be able to attend RDAD.
Annoying indeed which means we won't be able to have this opportunity again unless were free in winter which RDAD starts.

" Enhancing the lives of special needs children "

Basically, The reason I'm typing this post is that we should know what happens surrond us when we are not even noticing it. This is vouluntry work which is no difference between you voulunteering for Al Noor centre, Young Eager Step events and perhaps ThinkUp GCC too! You only stay there for 1-2 hours (Your choice) and you just help disabled children to stay on their horses and allow them to learn something he/she never knew.

RDAD is a not for profit organisation and relies totally on assistance from individuals and organisations to keep the programme running. You can support us by promoting awareness of our programme, or just by coming along and volunteering.

Hope you participate and voulnteer to help a child
make a change. make it better.

Love from
